“Lost in Translation”….WUT,WAIT,WTF?!?!?!

There was once one British guy who bought a game from japan called RapeLay and then sold it on amazon.co.uk.

There were also once a feminist group in USA/England (not entirely sure) who noticed that game and then started a huge debate that span over the whole world debate in their country that Japanese eroge games were the cause for rapes in Japan and aired in the news for 5 mins.

There were also some Japanese TV news and the Japanese government who saw that they got the blame for all the rapes in the world and started to ban every kind of eroge in japan (think they went for every kind of hentai, lol)

As some of you readers know because you are normal sane people, rape in a movie doesn’t mean that you have to go rape someone on the street…..sadly some people doesn’t get it *points to a certain female group* and think that’s the reason for rape in the world. XD

Definition for Eroge;  ”An eroge (エロゲー erogē?, a portmanteau of erotic game: erochikku gēmu) is a Japanese video or computer game that features erotic content, usually in the form of anime-style artwork. ” (Thank you, Wiki)

Yeah, there are rape games, tentacle games, loli games, milf games, cheating games, demon games, highschool love games, work love games, gay games, lesbian games…heck even games for girls who hunts hunks in a male harem….well actually all kinds of eroge games. This doesn’t mean that every eroge is bad…people got their tastes, let them have it, no need to force down your taste on them. It’s not democrazy!

It’s like the topic; “Violent games makes psychos” started by another certain female group in some country -_-;;;; Instead of focusing on your kids and teaching what’s right and wrong, so when they become adults, they can become proper adults, it’s easier for them just to blame other things, in this case eroge/games.

Before I start on what I’m pissed at, I will tell you the truth: I’ve played the title in question, RapeLay. I stopped in the middle…I started to pity the females because it seemed like they were getting sick (well you could hear their “sick” voices) so I stopped playing it. Mind you it was one of the first 3D games so that may be reason why many played it. After that I haven’t played it even after it got a shitty fan-translation…since I found lots of other better and tastier games :3

To find new games or news about eroge, I wander around the homepages for different game companies to check up on stuff. Though I hadn’t noticed the change for the company in question. That way you can see if there’s something to get or not, not just eroge but dramaCD, posters, figures, towels etcetc. Yes, it’s in Japanese but since the net was made for everyone and not only for the Americans who invented it, I figure, everyone is allowed to the information if it’s on the net to be shared with others.

Anyways, Minori, who is also one of the eroge companies, took action for the news debate and the government debate in their country Japan and closed off their site for everyone except Japan.

then after they thought about the shitty way they had written their message and the reponse the people had given to them they changed it…..WELL WHAT WOULD YOU THINK IF YOU GOT THAT MESSAGE IN YOUR FACE???

It did piss me off, just because of a little group in america/england the whole world were getting punished, instead of just ignoring them, they ban the whole world from their “public” site…”protecting our culture” my ass!!!

Of course it seems like I wasn’t the only one pissed, lol

Eroge Maker Minori: “Dirty Foreigners Get Off Our Site!”

People were trolling, discussing, laughing, getting angry or agreeing with the actions. I’ve written in there too, a lot even (wasting my time ;P ) trying to tell that it’s stupid for the company to take this kind of action to punish everyone because there was a group who said that eroge was bad!

The Japanese visitors didn’t do better by saying that yes it was a bad action but it was our own fault for this happening…WTF???!!?!?! HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE AT ALL? NOW LETS NUKE JAPAN AGAIN FOR BEING STUPID CUZ IT’S THEIR OWN FAULT! Yep, if what they say make sense then this does too, so…..let nuke them :3

Anyways…notice  if you ever read through the link,  there is no place where one of the Japanese apologies for the stupid action Minori had taken and how they keep saying that both “the company” and  ”the world” are at fault. In my opinion if you are that arrogant then you deserve this shit, karma, love it

Minori got a lot of reactions from foreigners that knew how to write in Japanese and probably also Japanese in other countries than just in japan, lol. So they changed their messages to this: (still click-able to read it)

After looking at their message I kind of understood what the problem was and agreed that it wouldn’t do any good to rage over this anymore…they had problems down there and needed help, cool….BUT WOULDN’T THAT HAVE BEEN BETTER TO JUST WRITE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE INSTEAD OF GETTING “LITTLE PERPLEXING” ABOUT WE WROTE THOSE LETTERS!?!?!?!??!?!

I wasted hours a few days of my life trying to make the Japanese on that blog understand that you can’t do worldwide punishment for a little thing like this, and if you wanted help them you should just have said so in the first place. The Japanese may not know how to help others but there’s a bunch of us in the world who was taught that by our parents.

This was also discussed in this post but as you can see I gave up discussing anymore…I understood the reason, they had placed their action upon.

Though I still can’t agree with the action, I understand that they felt this was the right action to take….

Nitroplus Partners with JAST for English Eroge

Nitro+  is one of the companies I really like, they got eroge with nice plots, stories, chars and art~ to drool over. When Phantom of the Inferno came out in English edition to the states I got my sister to get one for me while she was taking classes over there. Still love the game XD

Anyways…if you think a little then actions like those can be taken, instead of blowing it all up, use the tactic; “If you can’t fight them, then make them join you”.
